Curriculum

Concord Public Schools and Concord-Carlisle Regional School District aligns its curriculum with Content Area Standards based on Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and National Standards. Teams of educators reflect on and improve our curriculum each year. Each curriculum area is reviewed for Kindergarten- Grade 12 about every 10 years or when new standards are issued.

Key parts of curriculum include: essential questions (questions which focus on the underlying concept taught and require reasoning, judgment and evaluation); content (subject matter itself, key concepts, facts, topics, important information); skills (targeting proficiencies, technical actions and strategies for showing understanding of the content); and, assessments (observable evidence of learning).

You can view detailed maps for each grade level on our Curriculum website. Please contact me with questions or comments.
