Parent and Student Expectations

  • Please check AM and PM routes. Some students may have a different route # going to school and home from school.
  • Students should be at their bus stop 5 minutes prior to posted bus arrival time.
  • Remind students to stay at assigned bus stop in a safe area, approach the bus only after it has come to a complete stop, door has been opened, and the driver has motioned to the student to board.
  • Enter bus in an orderly fashion, find a seat quickly. Use indoor voices while on the bus.
  • NEVER pursue the bus if you miss it, either on foot or by car.
  • Students ONLY may board the school bus; nobody else should board the bus for any reason.
  • NO EATING OR DRINKING ON THE BUS
  • All posted bus rules are enforced by the driver.
  • Parents/Guardians who are responsible for receiving K-3 students should be present at the bus stop and listed on the emergency contact list filed with the school.
  • Under no circumstances will a K-3 student be left at a bus stop without a parent or guardian to receive the child.   Your child will remain on the bus and be brought back to the school. Contact Transportation for exceptions.
  • Most of our students will ride a school bus at least once during the school year. Whether they ride daily or occasionally (for a field trip or to an athletic event), all students must know the bus rules. Learn about bus safety and keep your student safe.  The school bus is considered an extension of the class room. Student conduct applies on all school buses. Please discuss appropriate bus behavior with your child.
