Student Services

Welcome to Student Services! Here, you’ll find comprehensive information about the special education supports, services, and programs available in the Concord Public and Concord-Carlisle Regional School Districts.

Our site includes details on various disabilities, educational resources, and support services. Whether you're a parent or caregiver of a child with disabilities, a special education professional, or an individual with a disability seeking resources, we aim to be a valuable resource for you.

The Concord Public Schools and Concord-Carlisle Regional School District are dedicated to providing high-quality special education supports and services to eligible students as outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). We offer a continuum of programs, supports, and services for children from ages 3 to 22.

We adhere to all state and federal regulations for special education services, from referral and evaluation to eligibility determination and IEP implementation. Our goal is to provide each eligible child with a Free, Appropriate, Public Education (FAPE) in the Least Restrictive Environment (LRE), ensuring that children with disabilities are educated alongside their non-disabled peers whenever possible. We promote inclusive practices so all students can access the full Concord and Concord-Carlisle curriculum and experiences.

Our goals:

  • Support and teach students to become independent, self-sufficient learners who can advocate for themselves
  • Maintain high standards and ensure progress within the general education curriculum
  • Provide specialized instruction using research-based interventions, highly-qualified staff, and state-of-the-art strategies
  • Teach strategies to help students compensate for their disabilities using universal design, accessible materials, and appropriate accommodations
  • We achieve this by promoting:
  • Inclusionary practices (LRE)
  • Co-teaching and collaborative relationships
  • High expectations for student learning
  • Teamwork and shared responsibility
  • Support for all Team members
  • Use of varied resources and research-based interventions
  • Ongoing progress monitoring and data-informed decision-making
  • Parent engagement as partners

The success of each student is powered by the Team, including parents as essential partners. We look forward to working with you to support your child throughout the school year. Please reach out (below) with any questions.
