Please join in me in thanking Kelly McCausland and the  following people for their time, energy, and enthusiasm during the Willard principal search: Johanna Boynton, Angel Charles, Mike Germond, Susan Halter, Kristen Herbert, Bev Lucas,  Jessica Murphy, Jon Smith, Kate Squire, Jennifer Thistle, Candance Root, and Julee Vitello.

It is with great pleasure and excitement that I announce the three finalists for the Willard principal position. Visits to each of the finalist’s school sites have been scheduled and will be concluded by next week.  As soon as schedules can be confirmed, the dates and times for the public forums at Willard will be announced.

Ms. Garden has four years experience as Principal of the Florence Roche Elementary School in Groton, MA.  Previously Ms. Garden worked as an Assistant Principal in Groton and Leominster and has experience as a second grade teacher, a communications/computer teacher, an academic enrichment teacher, and a biology teacher.  Ms. Garden received a Bachelor of Arts from George Mason University and a Master’s degree from Wheelock College in child development and early childhood education.   Ms. Garden also received a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in educational leadership & management from Fitchburg State University.

Mr. Lucey has ten years experience as Principal of the Field Elementary School in Weston, MA.  Previously, Mr. Lucey worked as a Director of Information Technologies & Libraries in Weston, a Director of Business & Technology in Littleton, and a Social Studies teacher in Hamilton-Wenham.   Mr. Lucey received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Massachusetts, a Master of Arts in History from Boston College, and a Master of Education from Boston College.

Mr. O’Donoghue has thirteen years experience as Principal of the Bessie Buker Elementary School in the Hamilton-Wenham Regional School District.  Previously, Mr. O’Donoghue worked as a third and fifth grade teacher in Boxford, MA.  Mr. O’Donoghue received a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Massachusetts and a Master of Education from Lesley College.
