Please consider attending a Superintendent’s Forum

Since the spring, I began work on an entry plan to guide my first months. As part of that plan, I very much look forward to meeting and connecting with the community. In September and October, please consider attending a Superintendent’s Forum. All forums begin at 7 p.m.

Monday, September 18: Concord Carlisle Regional High School
Tuesday, September 19: Concord Middle School (Sanborn)
Monday, September 25: Alcott Elementary School
Monday, October 2: Willard Elementary School
Tuesday, October 3: Thoreau Elementary School

As the new Superintendent of Schools, it is with great enthusiasm and anticipation that I look forward to the start of the school year.  Since beginning on July 1, the first weeks have been warm and welcoming.   The community’s support and commitment to the schools is evident.

This is my 19th year as an administrator having had the privilege of serving the communities of Lakeville and Duxbury. I began as an elementary principal in 1999 in Lakeville and then transitioned to the Assistant Superintendent of Schools in Duxbury in 2013. Both districts allowed me the opportunity to build relationships and connections both within the school and with a wide range of community members. I believe strongly that it is this shared vision that creates the best learning environment for students.

Among my goals for this year is an ongoing flow of communication. This occurs both formally and informally. In 2017, there are many tools available to us including the newspaper, social media and cable television. Informally, conversations and participation are as equally important. The goal is to maximize all of these avenues and create a lens into the school district and all of the exemplary work of the teachers and students.

I am always available by email at and by phone at 978-341-2490.
