Jared Stanton Appointed as New Director of Finance and Operations for CPS, CCRSD

The Concord and Concord-Carlisle School Committees approved the nomination of Jared Stanton as the new Director of Finance and Operations for both districts at the Joint School Committee meeting held on April 3rd.   Superintendent Laurie Hunter nominated Stanton following an extensive search process that included input from a wide range of stakeholder groups in the school communities.

Stanton has experience in serving a regional school district working for the Groton Dunstable Schools and currently serves as School Business Manager for the Peabody Public Schools.  In addition to his school finance experience, he has worked with the Massachusetts School Building Authority on multiple projects, managed operations for large districts, and secured professional licenses as a School Business Administrator and Certified Public Purchasing Officer from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.  Also, he has successfully executed zero based budgeting processes which is an element in the strategic plan Superintendent Hunter intends to implement for both CPS and CCRSD for the next fiscal year.

Stanton stated, “I feel privileged to be chosen for this position as it was a personal goal to work in such a high performing district that enjoys an exceptional reputation around the state.  The more I engaged with individuals from the districts in the search process, the more I realized that the positive reputation is well deserved. I look forward to working with people of such high quality who have a professional enthusiasm to serve students.”

Stanton earned a Bachelor of Arts from Boston University is working currently to secure an MBA from Southern New Hampshire University with a Concentration in Leadership.  He is scheduled to begin on July 1, 2018.
